Symposium Chair
Dear Friends,

We are delighted to announce the 2nd symposium and workshop of NEU Compaction Simulator Center. Since the inauguration event which took place in May 2012, our center aimed to meet the need of the pharmaceutical industry. We believe, the best way to achieve our goal is to offer the “must attend” events, to train/educate “must hire” students and to provide “must take advantage of” services in the areas of QbD/PAT, compaction simulator and artificial intelligent aided solid dosage formulation and process development.

This year’s event has been planned so as to bring together the experts from across the globe making it an event that should not be missed. As the name of the symposium suggests, the Quality by Design and PAT will always be in mind since the federal agencies across the world have started to reiterate to build quality into the products during multi-phase product development life cycle and eventually, enhance product and/or process understanding.

The event will feature experts who are adept in this science and risk-based approaches, and therefore, will offer definitive benefits to the scientists from academia and industry working in the domains ofAPIs, excipients, formulation and process development, scale-up, manufacturing, technology transfer, quality assurance, and global regulatory affairs. The speakers will articulate on all the pertinent areas of QbD Implementation for solid dosage forms.

The workshop will continue to address QbD by focusing on tablet compression and trouble shooting. All aspects of compaction simulation and how one can make invaluable use of compaction simulators will be presented in the form of lectures, case studies and demonstrations.

In summary, we strongly believe that every participant attending this event will go back home with valuable take home lessons.
